Trina and Bob’s Wedding. A Magical Fairy Tale Ending.
“Did I mention that he is AWESOME!!!!” – Bob Shaw. Married August 24, 2013.
In my career as an entertainer, I’ve been asked help in many emergency type situations. Trina and Bob’s Wedding is one of these.
They were married on August 24, 2013 in Calgary, Alberta.
They had hired their wedding DJ months before through an established Calgary DJ company. However, both their original DJ and the designated back up DJ were no longer able to carry out the contract 1 day before the wedding.
To correct the situation, I was was asked to step in and correct the situation on less than 24 hours notice.
I acted as their Disc Jockey and Master of Ceremonies.
Despite very little planning, and no scripts this is Trina and Bob’s summary of their experience of my performance.
This experience is also why I believe so strongly in personally guaranteeing my services. When you hire Eric Electric, you get Eric Electric. The only exception would be if I’m deathly ill or have a family emergency, then I would find a substitute.
While the original DJ Company that was hired experienced a rare failure in their business, these kinds of stories are far too common in the DJ industry.
Please be aware of the “bait-and-switch” tactics of DJ Companies. Always meet with your wedding DJ months ahead of time. Will they guarantee the person you meet, will be your DJ? Hold them to their promises.
The standards in the DJ industry are so low. There is better out there. I strive to offer this to every client of mine.
And in Bob’s words said to me off-camera at 2am after we finished cleaning up, “Eric I had SO much fun. Thank you. I have no idea how I can ever repay you!? Let me help you load your van.”
I think a groom on his wedding day insisting on helping me load up my van after the end of the party, means a lot to me too. Thank you Bob. I wish you and Trina much love and joy!Share
